Photo Ethics
Thursday, March 13, 2008 - 3:30 PMJohn Long, Loret Steinberg & Mickey H. Osterreicher
The ethics session led by John Long, chair of the NPPA Ethics Committee and Loret Steinberg, Associate Professor at RIT, will attempt to get some sort of handle on the ethical questions that have arisen with the advent of audio and video for still photographers. We will begin the process of trying to come up with guidelines for still photographers as they enter these new worlds of storytelling. This will be an audience participation event, which will hopefully bring structure to the debate on what is ethical in the gathering of audio and video footage. Defining the problem will be the first step.
