Former Detroit Free Press chief photographer J. Kyle Keener will lead a discussion of the philosophy and techniques he has used for the past quarter century to shoot some of the most innovative portraiture in the newspaper industry. He will showcase work from his years at the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Free Press, as well as his freelance career. The lecture will also focus on techniques for shooting effective magazine cover photos with integrated typography.
